98 imagesIn search of places from long ago on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Thanks to a family member I've been able to spend many weekends in Talbot County which has given me the opportunity to explore and photograph historical and unique sites. The counties that make up the Eastern Shore of Maryland have deep roots in the history of Maryland. Native American Indians lived here long before the European settlers arrive in the 1600’s. What I love about exploring the Eastern Shore of Maryland is that there is still so much that still exists from the 1600, 1700, and 1800’s providing a view into the past. It’s like time traveling, each time I discover a new site. By photographing these historical places, I am preserving their existence. Included in this gallery are photographs from Talbot County, Tilghman Island, Cranes Point, Nevitt, Sherwood, St Michaels, Black Walnut Point, Unionville, Wye House, Oxford, Dorchester County, Cambridge, Blackwater Refuge , Taylors Island, Hoopers Island, Bucktown, Harriet Tubman sites, the underground railroad sites, Caroline County, and Assateague Island.
